Nieuwsbrief Hart voor het Twiske 12 april 2023

Beste Twiske vrienden,

De bescherming van Natura2000-gebied Het Twiske vraagt voortdurende waakzaamheid.

Geen Welcome to the Future meer! Dankzij jullie massale steun werd onze politieke lobby in Landsmeer een succes. Landsmeer wil geen grote festivals meer in dit natuurgebied. Maar het Recreatieschap Twiske-Waterland reageerde fel in paginagrote artikelen. Hoe gaat Landsmeer de gederfde festivalinkomsten ad. 60.000 euro compenseren? Er moeten alternatieve kleine festivals komen. Nee! zegt HartvoorhetTwiske. Dat is onnodig en onwenselijk in een Natura2000-gebied. Het aantal bezoekers stijgt, en daarmee de parkeerinkomsten. Alleen al in 2021 namen die toe met 120.000 euro. Er zijn genoeg inkomsten.

Naar de rechter

Ondanks ruim 7000 handtekeningen, wil Oostzaan nog steeds festivals en vakantieparken in het Twiske. We stapten op 3 juni 2022 naar de rechter. Er lopen nu diverse procedures.

Bodemprocedure tegen Lentekabinet op 20 april 2023

We voeren een bodemprocedure tegen de natuurvergunning van 5 jaar voor het Lentekabinet. Dankzij jullie donaties konden we een 125 pagina’s lange contra-expertise laten maken door de ecoloog van Econatura. De rechtszaak is op donderdag 20 april om 9.30 rechtbank Provincie Noord-Holland, Simon de Vrieshof 1, Haarlem. De uitspraak volgt 6 weken later. Jullie zijn van harte welkom. Hart voor het Twiske wordt gesteund door Theo van Gelder van GroeneSterDuurzaam en milieujurist Lex Lohman. Het landelijke NatuurAlert sluit zich aan, en komt ook met een advocaat. Het wordt ontzettend spannend.

Procedure tegen Camping Twiske Haven

In december kreeg Camping Twiske Haven een natuurvergunning. Voor het eerst in 50 jaar mag er overnacht worden in Natura2000-gebied Het Twiske! Deze ‘camping’ is een vakantiepark dat het hele jaar open is. Onze advocaat gaat hiertegen in beroep. Het wachten is op de zitting. Ook hier heeft de ecoloog van Econatura een uitgebreide contra-expertise gemaakt. Dankzij jullie giften!

Nog meer overnachtingen

Er zijn nog meer plannen voor overnachtingen. Er is een vergunningaanvraag ingediend voor 24 zorgappartementen bij zorgboerderij De Marsen. Opdrachtgever is Woonzorg, een groep investeerders. Er is nog geen zorginstelling die dit financiert. Eerder haakten twee andere zorginstellingen af omdat de exploitatie niet rond te krijgen was. Als het financieel niet lukt, is er risico dat de appartementen op de commerciële markt komen.
